Welcome to St. Peter Lutheran, "the friendliest little church in the country". If you enjoy the beauty of a rural setting (see the pictures page), gardening, agriculture, deer/pheasant hunting or the down-to-earth values of a small, rural congregation, then you'll need to check out St. Peter.
We have Sunday school for children and a lively adult bible study. One of the three weekly worship services features dialog in worship, another a more traditional liturgical service, and a third, an off-site setting for those who find the steps of our beautiful field-stone church too much to negotiate. We present two yearly dramatic portrayals of the Bible's message at Christmas, and again in the Lenten/Easter Season. Some of the features of our congregation that we feel are unique include a strong tradition of lay preaching, a summer bicycle trip for families, a quilting group that consistently places at the top of the Lutheran's Outdoors annual quilting competition, and numerous pot-luck, fellowship dinners during the year. St. Peter is a lively fellowship for families who are excited about the adventure of God's Word and what it means for daily life.
